RBI HISTORY AND HALL OF CHAMPIONS

   The Rob Browning Invitational (R.B.I.) is a special tournament unlike any other.  

The RBI began in 1996 as a casual day of golf planned for some long-time friends
looking to get together on the links and catch up on some old college days.  

As the date approached, and the chatter ramped-up, 
the little golf round began to take on the feel of a mini-tournament.  
The group of 14 friends played for a few bucks, 
a small trophy, and decided to give the remaining proceeds to a charity.  

The RBI was born.  

Now, 29 years later, the RBI has been graced by more than 1,000 different participants, 
has evolved into an entertaining and competitive tournament, 
and has raised more than $250,000 for the Alzheimer's Association of America.  

Players have come from as far as Houston Texas, Fort Lauderdale Florida, 
and San Diego California to be a part of the tradition.
